Verizon has earlier promised a new update roll out for HTC Thunderbolt to fix the issues that were reported after the users installed the OTA update 1.13.605.7 back in May. While Verizon is working with HTC to release the fix in the coming weeks, we are hearing news that another OTA update is almost ready for the roll out to the handsets. This is time it is just not another minor software update but it is going to be the Android 2.3.4 update which is currently available only on Google Nexus S and Nexus One smartphones [But didn’t we talk about the leaked Android 2.3.4 Gingerbread ROM for Thunderbolt already?]According to a new leaked Verizon’s internal document that the folks at AndroidAndMe have received, Verizon Thunderbolt owners will receive a new software update (build number 2.07.605.2) on June 30th.
But the most interesting part is listed under the “Additional Features” section. Okay, we will list the stated features here:
>> Android 2.3.4
>> HTC Sense 2.1
>> Enhanced aGPS
>> Amazon Appstore
>> Download Manager
And remember Android 2.3.4 has that awesome Gtalk video chat in case you forgot. It’s just not that alone, there’s also a mention about Skype Video calling functionality addition in the features list. All in all, the update really looks awesome. But then, who’s going to put your money on the leaked document and on the June 30th release?
