According to Verizon document regarding Software update, Folks over Droid-Life are reporting that a software update is getting ready to upgrade on Droid 2 Global handsets soon. This update will improve all of the global features in the handset, which weighs in it around 15MB with the version name 2.4.330 and it will fix the issues while Droid 2 Global users roaming across countries and several international calling bugs.
Improvements to take place:
# Device now prepends 011 to Country Code to send SMS messages.
# Device no longer displays ‘No Service” signals.
# Device no longer switches when changing from Global Mode to GSM/UMTS communication.
# Refreshes the user interface display when switching from GSM/UMTS to Global mode.
# Won’t display the blank screen when activating all forwarding.
# Improved audio during voice calls and reduced user interface lock-ups.
The roll out date of this software update hasn’t mentioned yet. Droid 2 Global users can go to Settings>About phone>System updates to check for updates.
