The public appearance of the vivo upcoming V27 series keeps growing by the day – Both the Vivo V27 and V27 Pro are confirmed to launch on February 28th or March 1st, as per the landing page on the global website of the Chinese smartphone maker. The V27 series also has another phone, which comes under affordable price segment, and it will be called Vivo V27e, which now has official landing page on Vivo Malaysia’s website. Just like the teasers on Twitter, this dedicated microsite hints us at some of the specs of the phone but don’t reveal everything.
However, the Vivo V27e phone is supposed to be based on the rebranded version of the Vivo S16e, which made official in China in late December 2022. So we already have a pretty clear picture of what to expect about the Vivo V27e. The device will be launched officially on Feb 28th or March 1st, along with its siblings V27 and V27 Pro.
As per the webpage, the Vivo V27e is sporting a punch-hole display on the front. It appears to be an OLED panel, and it will be integrated with a fingerprint scanner. On the back, the device has a triple camera setup and an LED flash.
The device will have an OIS-enabled 64-megapixel primary camera, along with an LED flash and an LED ring. The manufacturer claims that the ring LED unit comprises three light bulbs that can detect ambient lighting and adjust brightness in low-light conditions.
As per the specs of its Chinese version, the upcoming Vivo V27e handset ships with a 6.62-inch Full HD+ resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels, powered by an octa-core processor onboard. The chipset is paired up with 8 gigabytes of RAM, 128 GB of storage, and will arrive with the preinstalled Android 13 OS on top of the custom Origin OS UI. It also has a dual-SIM slot, a microphone, a USB-C port, a speaker grille, and it measures 7.8mm thickness, while it weighs around 186 grams.
