The vivo X80 and X80 Pro handsets were launched earlier this year in May. vivo hasn’t yet launched the Vivo X80 Pro+, but the most reliable tipster Ice Universe has been told by his sources that the company is planning to come with the X90 series later this year. He believes that the vivo X90 Pro+ is supposed to be announced this December with some top-notch features. The solid performer X80 pro had a lot of high-end powerful hardware and its successor also should have the same potential to carry forward its legacy.
According to the tipster, the upcoming X90 Pro+ brings a huge 1″ sensor along with a “new” telephone sensor and a new telephoto algorithm. As it is going to be the next flagship device, it is expected to be equipped with the new Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor. Qualcomm is in fact planning to announce the 8 Gen 2 chipset in the coming months, most preferably in November.
He believes that X90 Pro+ will also flaunt the latest generation E6 AMOLED screen by Samsung, and it will have LPDDR5X memory and UFS 4.0 storage. He also claims that the device boasts new periscope telephoto (a new lens coupled with a new algorithm) and it can beat the last year’s Galaxy S22 Ultra. The upcoming S23 Ultra will have the same telephoto specifications as the S22 Ultra, so we have to wait and see whether vivo would really outshine the S23 Ultra in the camera department or not.
vivo may not come up with a small-screen version of the X90 lineup this time. He also says that vivo X90 lineup handsets will have 2K E6 Samsung AMOLED display. The company’s sister brand is rumored to launch the iQOO 11 is going to have the same impressive specs as the vivo X90 Pro+. We believe vivo will launch the X90 series by the end of 2022 and the global markets launch may happen in early 2023.
