Vizio has started rolling out another OTA update for its 8-inch Android tablet. Back in early September, we’ve already reported about the V.I.A Plus 1.2 software update, which brought better graphics performance, faster UI navigation and better battery life. Unfortunately, the latest firmware update V.I.A Plus 1.3 for Vizio tablet isn’t the most awaited Android 3x Honeycomb OS, but it promises quite a few improvements, including the most popular Netflix video streaming support. The update also brings the a set of Android system security updates and general system improvements. This update is carrying the new build number GRH78C. The key feature in this latest update centers around the device compatibility for the fastest on-demand video streaming service Netflix.

Users of the Vizio 8” tablet’s users should be seeing the notification at any time on the screen panels alerting them to accept the update and to tap “OK” button. If you haven’t already got your notice to upgrade, you should see it soon as long as you’re connected to Wi-Fi. Vizio tablet users can also pull the update from the sky by heading over to Menu –> Settings –> About Tablet –> System Updates –> and tap Install Now button –> Reboot.
You can also restart your tablet and the tablet should automatically check for the new version. Once it recognizes any new update, download the update and follow the on-screen instructions to finish the upgrade process and then reboot the device again. That’s it. If everything goes well, you should be enjoying the Netflix videos now with the help of the pre-loaded Netflix app from the home screen of the device (see the below image).
