A few days ago, we’ve reported about Microsoft Windows Phone 7’s next Mango update is being confirmed to bring Bing Audio, Bing Vision, Turn-by-turn navigation with voice guidance, voice dictation and podcast support. And this week, the folks over Windows Phone Devloper Podcast (which hosted Microsoft’s Brandon Watson as a guest) have once again leaked the details of some more new features, that are coming to Windows Phone 7 powered handsets.
According to the latest reports from the source, the new features of the upcoming so-called “Mango” update are going to be — native Windows Live Messenger, Facebook chat, AOL Instant Messenger, Office 365 (including SkyDrive and SharePoint), revamped Games hub, and one more ‘Lock Screen’ feature. The update is also bringing Wi-Fi Hotspot support, Facebook places, and some battery saving options inside Settings tab.
The revamped Games Hub brings improved Xbox Live integration, adding a “Automatic Sync” option. The Lock Screen feature will be active on the Wndows Phone 7 handsets and will display the Artist Art if there is a song currently playing and you can also turn on or off the Artist Art display. Another screenshot also revealed a new option for Group Messaging, which lets you e-mail or text people.
There is another rumor that visual voicemail will be coming with this update. You might also be aware that Microsoft is holding an event in New York City on May 24th to unveil the next major release of WP7. Some more screenshots after the break.
