Xiaomi has recently unveiled the European pricing and availability details for its highly-anticipated flagship smartphone, the Xiaomi 13 Ultra. However, customers outside of China will have access to the Xiaomi 13 Ultra in a single memory variant and can choose from two distinct color options.
The Xiaomi 13 Ultra, which is considered the flagship model of the Xiaomi 13 series, will be made available to customers in Europe. However, it appears that Xiaomi has made the decision not to offer certain color options outside of China. While the Xiaomi 13 Ultra Limited Edition will remain exclusive to the Chinese market, the standard white color option will be absent from the European lineup. Instead, customers in Europe will have the option to choose between the Olive Green and Ultra Black color variants.
It’s worth noting that Xiaomi has maintained the same key specifications for the Xiaomi 13 Ultra in its European release as in the Chinese version. Therefore, the device is equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC, LPDDR5X RAM, UFS 4.0 flash storage, and a sizable 5,000 mAh battery that supports 90W wired charging and 50W wireless charging.
Furthermore, the Xiaomi 13 Ultra boasts a 120Hz AMOLED display and features a quad-camera setup on the rear. For a more comprehensive overview of the device’s specifications, please refer to our original launch article.
The Xiaomi 13 Ultra has been officially introduced in Europe with a starting price of €1,499. However, it’s worth noting that certain retailers are already offering the handset at a discounted rate, bringing it in line with the pricing of the Xiaomi 13 Pro. Although the Xiaomi 13 Ultra may have a higher price tag compared to the entry-level options of the iPhone 14 Pro Max or Galaxy S23 Ultra, it is important to consider that Xiaomi’s competitors typically offer lower RAM and storage configurations at their base prices.
Xiaomi aims to provide customers with a premium flagship experience by offering generous RAM and storage options right from the start, making the Xiaomi 13 Ultra an attractive choice for those seeking ample performance and storage capabilities.
Indeed, when comparing the base configurations, Samsung’s Galaxy S23 Ultra starts with a minimum of 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage. In contrast, the Xiaomi 13 Ultra offers a more generous starting configuration of 12 GB of RAM and 512 GB of storage. Samsung charges €1,579 for the Galaxy S23 Ultra with this specific configuration, which is higher than the starting price of €1,499 for the Xiaomi 13 Ultra.
It’s worth noting that the Xiaomi 13 Ultra will officially be available in Europe on June 12, starting at 10:00 CET (09:00 UTC). However, Xiaomi has not yet provided specific pricing and release dates for other regions. As the availability expands to other markets, it will be interesting to see how the pricing and configurations compare across different regions.
