Verizon Wireless is going to add the another Android powered smartphone in its DROID lineup with the 4G LTE network compatibility, the Samsung Droid Charge, and codenamed as ‘Stealth’. Folks over PocketNow have managed to get the image of this upcoming device and the image is sporting the popular DROID ‘red eye’ emerged. This device is being showed off as “LTE Smartphone” at CES 2011 by both the Verizon and Samsung.
Samsung-made Droid Charge or Droid Stealth is also known as the SCH-i510. According to sources, the device will be launched sometime in the middle of next month, April.
Samsung Droid Charge will be packed with Android 2.2 Froyo and a quick update of Android 2.3 Gingerbread, 1GHz Hummingbird processor, sporting a 4.3 inch Super AMOLED Plus display, equipped with an 8 megapixel rear-facing camera with 720p video recording, and an additional 1.3 megapixel front-facing camera, LTE/CDMA radios, 802.11 Wi-Fi b/g/n connectivity, Bluetooth, aGPS, HDMI-out, and more.
That’s all the information we’ve about this mysterious device currently. We already have an LTE 4G capable smartphone, HTC Thunderbolt from Verizon and the Motorola Droid Bionic, LG Revolution is set to release sometime later this year. We’ve to see whether the Samsung Droid Charge / Stealth could be the second 4G LTE smartphone to arrive or not.
