Late yesterday, we’ve reported that Sprint is set to release the Honeycomb filled Motorola Xoom on May 8th. Now, Sprint has also confirmed via a press release that it is launching the Wi-Fi only edition of Motorola Xoom on the same day with a price tag of $599.99 and you won’t need to sign a 2-year contract. It is good to know that previous rumors and yesterday’s leak are actually happening for real.
We should be thanking the modern day tablet manufacturers, who are developing full-fledged tablets meeting the customers’ needs and requirements. Motorola is a perfect example of those manufacturers, bringing the first ever Android Honeycomb powered tablet on the markets, bumping the high end specifications and better hardware like Nvidia Tegra 2 processor inside. Motorola Xoom is the first ever tablet from the Motorola company. Android 3.0 Honeycomb powered Motorola XooM Tablet comes with Barometer support and it is sporting 10.1-inch HD touch display, Nvidia’s Tegra 2.1 Ghz processor, 1GB RAM, HDMI & USB ports, also features a 5MP camera with LED flash light, Wi-Fi, 3G, 4G/LTE connectivity, Android Market, and so on. The tablet ships with 1GB of internal memory that can be expanded to 32GB using a micro-SD card.
