HTC EVO 3D Up For ‘Secret’ Pre-Order At Best Buy Stores Now

HTC EVO 3D Back

Back in March, at CTIA event, HTC has unveiled the highly-anticipated HTC EVO 3D handset for Sprint and the carrier hasn’t officially announced its release details yet. But an internal memo of Best Buy, acquired by Android Central blog, notes that the HTC EVO 3D handset now can be pre-ordered from the Best Buy stores.

But the offer isn’t being officially advertised and Best Buy team members cannot mention the device until it is officially announced and should offer pre-orders to the customers that ask about the HTC EVO 3D handset in order to reserve it. So the customers apparently won’t be able to pre-order one unless they step in there and ask.

The memo states that “This is meant to capture only those customers coming into our stores inquiring about the EVO 3D who are otherwise not purchasing another phone today.

The dual-core 1.2GHz CPU powered HTC EVO 3D runs with Android 2.3 Gingerbread OS, skinned with the latest HTC Sense UI, sporting a 4.3″ qHD 960 x 450 Auto stereoscopic 3D display, 5 MP rear-facing and 1.3 MP front-facing cameras, 1080p video recording in 2D and 720p in 3D, Android Market and a whole host of Google and Sprint services, and, according to the memo, it is the first handset pre-loaded with the 3D version of the Blockbuster onDemand app.
