Motorola Droid X2 Gearing Up For May 26 Launch? Packs Gingerbread?

Motorola Droid X2 Launch Details

Verizon’s upcoming Motorola Droid X2 is being rumored to hit the stores May 12th, but that hasn’t happened, and fuelling the imminent release of this beast, the dummy units of this handsets have also started arriving at retail stores. Finally, a new leaked internal document from Verizon is clearly stating that the Motorola Droid X2 is scheduled to hit the stores on May 26th and it is gearing up to launch for Direct Fulfilment channels on May 19th.

We guess that there might be some chances for the pre-orders to take place in advance. Folks over Droid-Life are saying that Motorola Droid X2 may launch with Android 2.3 Gingerbread pre-loaded on it (surprising!), as we can see a blue top bar on the phone’s screen (pictured in below image), which has only appeared on the original Droid X after upgrading to Gingerbread. There is a chance that it could also be the effect of MotoBLUR UI.

Coming to specs, Droid X2 will be shipped with a 4.3-inch qHD display (960 x 540), equipped with dual-core Nvidia Tegra 2 1GHz processor, an 8 MP rear camera, 720p HD video capture, 8 GB of internal storage, an 8 GB micro-SD card preinstalled, scope for memory expansion up to 32GB, 1080p HDMI-out video, Android Market, Wi-Fi, and a 1540 mAh battery.
