A few hours ago, we’ve reported about the pre-order availability of HP TouchPad Wi-Fi editions in Canada regions at Best Buy Canada, Future Shop stores, and other retails stores. And now the U.S. citizens can also pre-order this 3G-less edition of HP TouchPad tablet at more than a dozen retails stores. The price for the 16GB version of the Wi-Fi HP TouchPad is $499.99 while the 32GB model is $599.99. The estimated shipping date will sit between July 1st – July 8th.
HP TouchPad is running with the latest webOS 3.0 on a dual-core 1.2GHz Qualcomm APQ8060 processor, sporting a 9.7″ XGA display of the IPS-LCD kind with 768×1024 pixels of resolution, and “EZ-clean” oleophobic coating, “true multitasking,” Touch-to-share feature, 1.3 Megapixels front-facing camera support for video calling, 16GB or 32GB of on-board memory, 1GB DDR2 RAM, Internal stereo speakers, Beats Audio technology, 6300mAh battery, Amazon’s Kindle e-book store,802.11b/g/n WiFi, Bluetooth 2.1+EDR, A-GPS, HP Synergy services. Some stores are also offering accessories like a wireless keyboard, a charging dock, a cover and a power adapter.

The folks over Pre-Central have said that the HP TouchPad won’t be able to edit Office docs at the launch time. Previously, Hewlett Packard has noted that it’s "working with Quickoffice" to include document editing, but couldn’t make it out. The source has also confirmed that the editing capabilities will be fixed through a software update in third quarter of this year. Soon you will be able to rock the 3G model of AT&T connected HP TouchPad.
