A few hours ago, we’ve reported about the Samsung Mobile event on August 29th. The manufacturer may be nearly ready to announce its latest Samsung Galaxy S II for the U.S. carriers. Apple is also set to hold an event in next month. According to a Japanese blog, Apple has planned for a press event on Wednesday, September 7th. While the WWDC 2011 event has passed without any iPhone-related announcement, we are expecting that Apple will spill the details about its next gen iPhone – the Apple iPhone 5 (or iPhone 4S ?) on the same date. In fact, there is no mention of exactly what Apple has up its sleeve for the event. The iPhone lovers must have been shouting “When will Apple finally bring the iPhone 5?”. Apple could possibly put a stop to all the speculation with launching the much desired product.
Since 2005, Apple has been unveiling its new iPod device in September month very year but an iPhone launch in this month is still mysterious to us. During last year’s September event, Apple announced an iPod touch, shuffle, and nano. But this year there was no iPhone event up until today, so hopefully, Apple may announce not only new iPods but also a new iPhone! Since Apple is already cooking a lot of stuff including the recent launches of iOS 5 beta versions, there could be an announcement of the iPhone 5 on September 7th rather than just refreshed iPods. In fact, the Cupertino company has generally chosen Wednesdays as its preferred day of the week to make announcements of the new products. Even if the new iPhone will be announced on September 7, recent reports suggest that Apple’s iPhone 5 won’t be available for sale until October.
Apple’s iPhone will be shipped with iOS 5 and it is expected to feature a bigger display, a dual-core chipset clocked at an unknown capacity, RAM with more capacity, and there could also be an 8 megapixel camera to record high-quality HD video. So there you’ve it. Previous rumors (1), (2) also have been suggesting the same month for iPhone 5 launch. We will dig for more information about the iPhone 5 launch. Keep visiting Gadgetian and start the countdown!
