Motorola Droid Bionic, the name that has been associated with the much drama ever since it made its first appearance during the CES 2011 in January, has finally been announced by Motorola and Verizon. As we reported last week, the Motorola Droid Bionic is indeed officially launching on September 8th, as it was shown in the TV advert. Starting tomorrow, you can get your hands on the Droid Bionic on Verizon’s 4G LTE network by paying rather hefty $299.99 on a two-year contract with the carrier.
Well, you all must be familiar with what happened to Droid Bionic. First announced at the CES 2011, it was later rumored that Verizon had cancelled the device even before its launch, but Motorola was quick to add that it was only delayed and would be launched this summer with a new form factor. Well, finally here it is!
Specs wise, Droid Bionic has got a lot to boast about. The phone packs a massive 4.3-inch qHD touchscreen display, 1 GHz dual-core processor, 1GB of RAM, Android 2.3.4, an 8 megapixel camera with 1080p HD video recording capability, 4G LTE support, a front facing camera for video chat (over 3G or Wi-Fi), HDMI out, 16GB of on-board memory and 16GB of microSD card included, pre-installed MOTOPRINT app for printing wirelessly via Wi-Fi supported printers and supports wireless charging. And there are interesting accessories like laptop dock, Webtop app adapter, Vehicle Navigation Dock and Battery Dock for the takers at additional charges.
