HTC Rhyme, a yet-to-be announced smartphone destined for Verizon Wireless has just passed through DLNA certification. This is only the second time that we are hearing the name ‘HTC Rhyme’ after it was spotted as a registered trademark by HTC last month. The Big Red is really going aggressive with the launches of the likes of Motorola Droid Bionic, BlackBerry Torch 9850 and others. And now another smartphone from HTC is going to hit the airwaves of Verizon. According to leaked roadmap of Verizon, HTC Rhyme will indeed hit the stores on the 29th of this month.
Coming back to the DLNA certification, we don’t get much information about the hardware or specs of the phone from the tag but what we have is that the device exists and will feature DLNS whose certification has been acquired by the device on September 2, 2011 and that the device sports the model number ADR6330VW which coincides with that of the HTC Bliss’s. Now that HTC tied up with Beats, one must assume that the HTC Rhyme could well be coming bundled with Beats making it a music-centric phone rhyming in harmony with its name.
