That’s the Samsung Galaxy Note mockup posted on Samsung USA’s Facebook page. You can see it is showing off the stocked version of the Vanilla Android 4.0 ICS build. But, Galaxy Note handset will be running Android 4.0.3 Ice Cream Sandwich OS with TouchWiz 4.0 UI, once Sammy rolls out the update officially. But, when will we get it? According to the previous reports, Samsung Galaxy Note should get the Android ICS update in the first quarter of this year. But, Samsung has now officially announced that Galaxy Note handset will get Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich in the 2nd quarter of this year.
Yes, ICS update the Samsung Galaxy Note has been pushed back to a Q2 release. That’s bad news. But, we a good news for you that Samsung will add a few bonuses with the update. That means along with Android 4.0.3 ICS, the update will also bring the Premium Suite” apps as a part of the S Note tool including Formula Match, My Story for enhanced S Pen functionality, Shape Match. The Android 4.0 update will also introduce Android Beam, Face Unlock, Snapshot, intuitive user interface with a redesigned App menu for easier multi-tasking and more.
My Story app helps you to design e-cards and notes with multimedia content. Samsung has mentioned that Shape Match and Formula Match apps will help you to correct and digitize geometric shapes and even solve numeric formulas hand-drawn with S Pen. Samsung will also bring the new Angry Birds Space Game, allowing access to exclusive levels specifically for the Galaxy Note handsets’ owners. It’s a special package of 30 challenging levels – ‘Danger Zone’ that will be available for free if unpacked within the three-month period. Sammy has also mentioned that Angry Birds Space will be available for all Galaxy line-up devices, excluding the exclusive-special Galaxy Note level.
Samsung is currently rolling out the Android 4.0.3 ICS update in Europe for unbranded and Three UK branded Samsung Galaxy S II devices.
