Samsung Galaxy S III Released in 28 Countries Today

Finally, the day has arrived people. Samsung has officially announced that the hotly anticipated Samsung Galaxy S III handset is now available to purchase in 28 countries around the world. Users can choose the device in either pebble blue or marble white color edition. The phone is now available in the United Kingdom, France, UAE, Saudi Arabia, Europe and the Middle East and Africa. Samsung has also decided to launch the Galaxy S III in a total of 145 countries and on 296 carriers by the end of July month.

Unfortunately, the manufacturer has yet to announce its plans for the U.S. launch of the Galaxy S III handset. The device has already scored a record 9 million pre-orders by carriers all over the world. The device is expected to hit the 4 major carriers in the U.S. by the end of this summer. There will be some minor changes in the design and hardware tweaks of the device for the AT&T, Verizon and Sprint editions of the Galaxy S III devices. T-Mobile is rumored to release the its version of the GSIII on June 20th.
