LG Nexus Leak

Does the LG Optimus G Nexus sound familiar? or LG Nexus sounds better? Perhaps you know it better. According to the random sources and lot of leaks, it has been rumored that LG is making next Nexus phone, based on its own Optimus G handset. Some reliable source are suggesting that Google will announce LG-made new Nexus phone by the end of this month. So far, the model number and code names have been confirmed as LG-E960 and Mako respectively. Today, we are presented with a couple of more images of the alleged LG Nexus handset. Thanks to the ember of the XDA-Dev Forums.

The newly leaked pictures are clear and you can see that LG Nexus is sporting the rounded Nexus-y shape, which is similar to the remindful of the Samsung-made Galaxy Nexus handset. LG Nexus also boasts a chrome-like bezel and there is a different speaker grille at the top of the device. The tipster has confirmed that he didn’t spot the microSD card slot on the phone. Previous leak has also confirmed it will have non expandable memory.

Here’s the specs list provided by the XDA member:

  • CPU: quad core ARMv7 1.5GHz
  • RAM: 2 GB
  • Memory: 8GB (no SD slot)
  • GPU: Adreno 320
  • Android version: JellyBeanMR1
  • Kernel 3.4.0
  • Screen: 768×1184 (320 dpi)
  • Camera: 8 MP

LG Nexus Leak

8GB onboard storage is a big let down for phone with Nexus brand. Earlier leak suggested the LG nexus will ship both in 8GB and 16GB storage options. Tipster has confirmed it sports same thickness as the Galaxy Nexus and it will support HSPA+ data access only, but not LTE. Unfirtunately, that does line up previous leaks through FCC fillings. That means it will work on both AT&T’s and T-Mobile’s HSPA+ networks.

Head over to the XDA thread for more information.

A NenaMark 2 benchmarking result also appeared for LG Nexus aka Mako, confirming HD+ screen resolution at 1196×768 pixels, Adreno 320 GPU and quad-core processor clocked at 1.5GHz.
