Since last night, Samsung started pushing out the most awaited Android 4.1 Jelly Bean update for the Galaxy S III handsets across Western European countries (France, Spain, Romania and Austria). Before that, the update was rolled out for the users in Sweden and South Korea regions, leaving out a lot of US customers unhappy and frustrated. Yes, there was no single sign of the official JB update in the U.S. till now. Today, Sammy finally came forward and confirmed that the Jelly Bean update will be rolled out “in the coming months” over the U.S.based carriers.
The manufacturer has noted that “The specific timing and update method will be announced by each carrier partner, AT&T, Sprint, T-Mobile, Verizon Wireless and U.S. Cellular.”
We also heard that a Samsung spokesperson said that the US carrier variants will be the last ones to receive Jelly Bean update. Earlier today, we reported about some reliable sources claiming that the update will only be available in 2013 in the U.S. If this was true, the U.S. carriers should be blamed for making a lot of the GSIII owners waiting.
