Finally, Huawei has officially announced the new Ascend W1 handset. The device was spotted on display at the CES floor yesterday and the company exec has showed off the W1 specs shoot, after they announcing the 5-inch Ascend D2 handset and the 6.1-inch Ascend Mate phablet, both are Android devices. But the company hasn’t made any official announcement regarding the Ascend W1 handset.
Ascend W1 is the first Windows Phone 8 OS powered device from Huawei, and it is expected to come with an attractive price tag. It packs some impressive mid-range specifications, including its 4-inch screen, which uses full lamination technology to help enhance outdoor visibility.

Huawei claims the Ascend W1′s design is “inspired by a tropical island” and they have also talked about its extra long battery life that provides up to 470 hour stand-by. The device will be made available in multiple colors – blue, red, black and white. Huawei confirmed that Ascend W1 will first hit China and Russia this month and planned for release in other markets (USA, Western Europe, and Middle East) later in the year. Huawei refused to revealed its price tag.
Huawei is also rumored to announce a 6.1-inch Windows Phone 8 device at MWC 2013 event in next month
