According to some reliable sources, Motorola is currently working to unveil its highly anticipated and new flagship Android phone at this year’s Google I/O in May. Yes, we are talking about the rumored Motorola X Phone. Earlier this year, we heard that X Phone will be making its first entry at Google I/O event this year and the device will be made official with the upcoming Android 5.0 Key Lime Pie OS. This morning, the folks over at Phone Arena claimed to have plausible features, battery type of the handset.
According to the source. X phone will have a Kevlar body to make it more durable just like its recent offerings of Motorola Droid series. It is rumored to pack RAZR MAXX-like powerful battery under hood, which will lets the handset to last up to “several road trip hours on a charge with the GPS software constantly on”, or at least as long as it’s able to last up to a full day of use.
This rumor doesn’t reiterate the possibility of a 5-inch screen for Motorola X-Phone. This time we are hearing that it will boast a 4.8-inch screen. The source also says it will have a quad-core processor, 128GB built-in storage with microSD card slot for further memory expansion support, and we may see it comes with a great camera, accompanied by Sony camera sensor. Previous rumors also claimed that the Motorola X-Phone will feature a brand new Nexus-like UI.
We’ve also heard that this could be the first Motorola phone to be a cross-carrier-branded device (that means it will be heading for all carriers). In late last month, we heard the device will go on sale on July 8th, priced at $299 on contract with Verizon Wireless.
Anyhow, we suggest that you should take everything you see on this page with a pinch of salt, although Phone Arena website has a pretty stellar track record when it comes to new device leaks. We may find out about X-Phone at Google I/O this year. We’ll let you know if we learn more. Stay tuned.
