OnePlus’ new phones for 2023 seem to be fast-approaching. The OnePlus 11R is poised to be OnePlus’s most exciting new midrange phone in a while, which will be launched as a rebranded version of the OnePlus Ace 2 outside China. A couple of days ago, details about the OnePlus Ace 2 were leaked, though only the front image of the handset was published. This time around, the OnePlus Ace 2 is pictured in some pretty official press renders from both sides.
As you can in the images, the OnePlus Ace 2 aka 11R looks a lot like the recently launched top-tier OnePlus 11. The screen has the same rounded corners and the same large circular block design on the back side. There is, of course, no sign of the Hasselblad branding slapped on the camera module.
The new press renders match all previous leaks — the selfie camera is at the top-center of the screen, there are three cameras on the back, and the fingerprint sensor is under the screen. There’s an alert slider and the power button on the right edge, while the volume rocker is placed on the left side of the device.
Specs wise, it will have a 6.7″ AMOLED display with a 1.5K resolution and 120HZ refresh rate, and will likely be decked with Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset, as well as Adreno 730 GPU. Just a few hours ago, we reported that a unit of the OnePlus Ace 2 production has appeared AnTuTu benchmarking platform scoring 1149494 points, also confirmed 16GB of LPDDR5 RAM, and 512GB of UFS 3.1 internal storage.
The 16MP punch-hole front camera will be joined by a triple camera setup on the back side – 50-megapixel (main) + 12-megapixel (ultra-wide) + 2-megapixel unspecified sensors. The device charges at 100W speeds using its 5,000mAh battery, and it will sip with Android 13 OS out of the box. The Ace 2 will have ColorOS 13, while the 11R version will have OxygenOS 13 UI customizations. Official promo video of the Ace 2 handset has also been revealed, which is embedded below.
OnePlus is having a big event in New Delhi, India on February 7, where it will launch the OnePlus 11R, and OnePlus Pad (first tablet from the manufacturer), in addition to the OnePlus 11 and Buds Pro 2 devices for the global markets.
