Looks like the China’s big telecom equipment makers Huawei and ZTE are very keen on producing various Android based tablets. We’ve already seen the recent Huawei Ideos S7 and the 7-inch Huawei MediaPad (launching on June 20) tablets. ZTE too had earlier announced its own tablets like ZTE Light and ZTE Light Pro. ZTE is also rumored to launch a 10-inch Android Honeycomb tablet in the US bearing high-end specs later this year. ZTE more recently announced ZTE Light 2, a 7-inch Android tablet with a 1.2GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor.
ZTE has now announced another budget 7-inch Android tablet, to be called ‘ZTE Light Plus’ in Europe. The tablets features not-so impressive specs but still would be a choice for the budget tablet seekers. It runs on Android 2.3.3 Gingerbread and is powered by a Qualcomm QSD8255 1GHz processor, a display of 800 x 480 pixels, 512MB RAM, 1GB ROM, 3.2 megapixel rear-facing camera, microSD card support, Wi-Fi, HSDPA, 3.5mm headset jack etc.
Price And Availability:
ZTE Light Pro is expected to release in September for €250 (equivalent to $365). However, we are not sure which country would get this tablet first but we guess it’d be in Europe first.
