Android fans in US now can get the Google Nexus S, powered by fastest Android 2.3 Gingerbread, which is so fresh and ‘Pure Google’. It became available to purchase in Best Buy Stores, Best Buy’s online stores starting at 8am across the country and it costs $530 for unlocked, $199 with a two-year T-Mobile contract and qualifying voice and data plans, or $250 with an add-a-line activation.
For you information, Google Nexus S, made by Samsung sports a 4-inch Super-AMOLED multitouch display, a 1GHz Hummingbird application processor with rich 3D graphics, a 5-megapixel camera with 720p video shooting capability, a front-facing secondary camera for video chat, 16GB of internal memory storage, Wi-Fi b/g/n, tri-band HSPA, Bluetooth 2.1, integrated VoIP/SIP, 1500 mAh battery and much more.
Nexus S is the first phone to have NFC support, which is really interesting. But its lacking micro SD slot support for memory expansion & HSPA+ connectivity. I think many guys would probably skip the Nexus S and wait a month for the Tegra based dual-core LG Optimus 2X with Android, which is having 1080p HD video recording capability.
