Even though several mobile manufacturers launched their respective flagship devices at CES 2013, Canadian manufacturer, RIM which is popularly known as the developer of BlackBerry handsets and smartphones won’t be showing off any devices at the event as they are planning to debut their devices in the near future. But in an interview with FierceWireless at the Consumer Electronics Show 2013, RIM CMO Frank Boulben has stated that their most awaited Blackberry 10 mobile operating system will be available in a wide range of their devices covering low, middle and high price points.
RIM is now planning to unveil their brand OS, BlackBerry 10 along with their first two smartphones running this OS on January 30. The first smartphone, the L-Series will likely be called as the “BlackBerry Z10” and another QWERTY keypad smartphone, the N-Series will be the “BlackBerry X10.”
Last week, parts of the BlackBerry smartphones, Z10 and X10 were listed at ETrade Supply for sale. Although the devices haven’t been launched, in December last year, the leaked images of the devices had been spotted online.
RIM will release at least six BlackBerry 10 models in this year. More than 70,000 apps will be available at the time of launching the BB10 mobile Operating system and RIM has been targeting 600 apps in markets. There is no information that in which carrier the BlackBerry devices will be heading to. But, around 150 carriers are currently testing their new devices.
