Few hours ago, AT&T announced the Jelly Bean update for its HTC One X smartphone. Now, another US carrier Sprint has started rolling out Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean OTA update for its LG Optimus G users. The Software version of the update is LS970ZVA. At the time of launch in October last year, Sprint shipped the device with Android 4.0.4 Ice Cream Sandwich OS out of the box.
The exciting news about the update has been revealed in a tweet from Sprint as well as on the Sprint’s forum.
The LG Optimus G is packed with a 4.7-inch True IPS-HD display (1280 X 720p resolution) with 320ppi, powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Pro APQ8064 quad-core processor clocked at 1.5GHz paired up with an Adreno 320 GPU, 2GB RAM to keep things running, 13 megapixel rear-facing camera to record 1080p HD videos, a front-facing 1.3 megapixel shooter for forwarding video chats, 4G LTE capability, micro USB 2.0, Bluetooth 4.0, 802.11 Wi-Fi a/b/g/n, 3.5mm headset jack, QuickMemo app, and 2100mAh battery.
After updating, new features like Google Now, expandable, notifications, Android Beam, Quick Translator, User-installable keyboard maps, improved voice search, improved camera app, ability to turn off notifications on an app, shortcuts and widgets can automatically be re-arranged or re-sized to allow new items to fit on home screens, and more will be accessible to your device.
