A few days ago Apple launched its new iPhone 14 series including iPhone 14, iPhone 14 Plus, iPhone 14 Pro, iPhone 14 Pro Max. The new lineup is hitting both the online and offline stores on September 16th, except the Pro Max version which will be available to grab later next month.
AnTuTu’s monthly report on the most powerful Apple phones globally is out. Both the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max handsets have popped up on AnTuTu, scoring 978,147 and 972,936 points respectively with dramatic performance improvements over the previous generation.
Assuming the score is confirmed ,these points are hinting at a significant improvement of around 19% compared to the last year’s iPhone 13 series. iPhone 13 Pros last year gathered a 17% increase in CPU score over the 12 Pro generation and 19% for the GPU. That means the GPU has improved with a 28% jump over the previous generation. We can safely assume that no other smartphone has seen this kind of improvement in GPU performance in recent years. Memory score also bumped up with a 44% increase.
Both the iPhone 14 Pro/Pro Max devices were tested with 1TB of storage and Apple A16 chipset. To recall, the upcoming Asus Rog Phone 6 Pro scored over 1.1 million points. Rog Phone 6 Pro has managed to score 1,110,172 overall, 261,708 on the CPU test and 469,592 on the GPU test. Note that the Asus device that was tested had Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC with 18GB RAM and 512GB storage. The Xiaomi 12S Ultra also scored 1.10 million, which use the same 8+ Gen 1 chip under its hood as well.
