The Realme GT Neo 5 has been confirmed to launch sometime in next month, but there have already been many talking points, courtesy of many leaks, and official teasing. The device will be offered in two variants. A couple of new Realme devices with model numbers RMX3706 and RMX708 have been by the TENAA authority of China. This would be the first phone in the world to have 250W ultra-fast charging speeds capability onboard.
A few weeks after the device’s TENAA’s entry, the Realme GT Neo 5 has now been put through its paces in a benchmark test, carrying the model number RMX3706. The device spotted on Geekbench 5 platform running on Android 13 OS with 3.00GHz Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chip, and 16GB RAM achieved an impressive 1,277 single-core score and 3,917 points for multiple cores. A couple of weeks ago, the device with model number RMX3708, has also passed through Geekbench scoring 1,279 points in its single core and 3,902 points in its multi core testing. These are nowhere near the SD 8 Gen 2 SoC toting OnePlus 11’s results.
For comparison, the OnePlus 11 with the SD 8 Gen 2 SoC hit around 1,468 and 4,965 single and multi-core scores, respectively. As per the previous leaks, the Realme GT Neo 5 will arrive with a 6.74-inch OLED panel with an under-display fingerprint reader, supporting a 144Hz refresh rate and a 1.5K resolution of 2772 x 1240 pixels. For photography, there’ll be a 50-megapixel Sony IMX890 primary camera with OIS support, pairing up with an 8-megapixel ultra-wide lens and a 2-megapixel macro camera on the back side. On the front, it trades a 16-megapixel selfie camera for handling video chats.
The device’s listing on TENAA confirmed it will have up to 16 GB of LPDDR5 RAM and up to 1 TB of storage. The device will have two variants – one with a 5,000mAh battery, and the other with a 4,600mAh battery, having support for 150W and 240W charging speeds, respectively.
