Earlier this year, Samsung has launched the 5G capable Galaxy A14 in international markets such as India, USA, and other regions. Today, the Korean tech giant has launched the 4G-only Galaxy A14 smartphone in Malaysia.
Samsung hasn’t confirmed the pricing of the Galaxy A14 4G on its official website. As of this writing, the phone is listed on Samsung’s online shop in the Malaysia, but it should pop up in the offline stores by the end of the day. Here’s what you can expect in terms of hardware and software features.
The Galaxy A14 4G is powered by a 5,000mAh battery with 25W fast charging capabilities to last up to 52 hours on4G LTE networks. Under the hood, it conceals the MediaTek Helio G80 processor, which has two ARM Cortex A75 cores with 2GHz clock speed and six A55 cores clocked at 1.8GHz. The chipset is paired up with Mali G52 GPU at 950Mhz clock speed, and 6GB of RAM, as well as 128GB internal storage with microSD card slot support. The US based Galaxy A14 5G has the new Exynos 1330 chipset, while the Indian variant is built on Dimensity 700 SoC.
The device has a 6.6-inch PLS LCD Infinity-V screen with FHD+ resolution of 1080×2408 pixels and a 120Hz refresh rate. It carries a triple camera setup based on a 50MP main sensor, along with 5MP+2MP cameras, and joined by a 13MP camera on the front side for handling selfies and video chats.
In terms of software, the Galaxy A14 4G ships with Android 13 and One UI 5.0 on top (or else it may have the latest One UI 5.1 build), Knox Security, Private Share, and Quick Share. It weighs 201 grams and measures 167.7 x 78 x 9.1mm.
Customers get four color options: Black, Silver, Green, and Burgundy Red. The Galaxy A14 4G’s price for the Malaysian market is yet to be confirmed. But, 5Gveriosn of this handset is being sold in the USA for just $199, and starts at ₹18,999 (~$233) in India.
