US Cellular has now announced that its QWERTY-slider handset Samsung Acclaim is now ready to receive the Android 2.2 Froyo update. Remember that you can’t do this over-the-air update, but some user friendly instructions are provided to get you the Froyo dessert.

- # My Contacts Backup, Your Navigator Deluxe, City ID, QuikOffice versions updated.
# More integrated services like GoogleQuickSearchBox, GenieWidget, Latitude, Navigator, Places

Along with these improvements, some more modifications will take place – New Clock application, Voice i/p & o/p menu instead of Text to Speech menu and preloaded apps has been removed but they can be downloaded later.
