Acer Chromebook With 6.5 Hours Battery Announced at Google I/O for $349

Google unveiled the all new 11.6-inch Chromebook from Acer at Google I/O. This Chromebook is promised to start up at only eight seconds which is powered by an Intel Atom N570 CPU, featuring a 16GB SDD,  and 6.5 hour battery life.

Known Key Specs of the Acer Chromebook are as follows:

– 11.6″ HD Widescreen CineCrystalTM LED-backlit LCD
– 2.95 lbs. | 1.34 kg.
– 6.5 hours of battery life
– Intel® AtomTM Dual-Core Processor
– Built in dual-band Wi-Fi and World-mode 3G
– HD Webcam with noise cancelling microphone
– High-Definition Audio Support
– 2 USB 2.0 ports
– 4-in-1 memory card slot
– HDMI port

The Chromebook from Acer is scheduled to be launched in the U.S. on June 15, 2011 from and starting at a price of  $349 with optional world-mode 3G. This is cheaper than the Samsung Series 5 Chromebook.
