Acer Iconia Tab A500 is one of the affordable Honeycomb powered tablets right now, along with the Asus Eee Pad Transformer. In late April, Best Buy has started selling Acer Iconia Tab A500 tablet, and we were expecting this tablet to hit the Target stores also. Now OfficeMax retail chain has officially announced that it will be selling the Acer Iconia Tab A500, priced at $449.99, matching with the price tag of Best Buy.
Acer Iconia Tab A500 comes with Android 3.0 Honeycomb flavored with Acer UI 4.5 customizations, powered by a super-fast NVIDIA Tegra 250 1GHz dual-core processor and complemented with 1GB RAM, sporting a 10.1-inch 1280 x 800 LCD screen, equipped with a 5 megapixel rear facing camera with LED flash, and an additional front-facing 2 megapixel camera for video chat, 16GB of flash storage, micro-SD card slot support for memory expansion up to 32GB, 1080p video output over the built-in HDMI port, Need for Speed: Shift game pre-loaded, up to 8 hours battery life with the help of 3260mA battery, SocialJogger & Cler.fi apps pre-installed, Android Market and much more.

Acer has officially confirmed that Acer Iconia Tab A500 tablet will be upgrading to the recently announced Android 3.1 Honeycomb OS in June month.
