[Download] Android 4.2.1 JOP40D Update is now Hitting Nexus 4, 10 To Fix “December Birthday” Bug

Android 4.2.1 Update For Nexus 4

As soon as Google launched the LG-made Nexus 4, and the Samsung-made Nexus 10 devices, the search giant rolled out the Android 4.2 update for the Nexus 4, and Nexus 10. Strangely, the Android 4.2 update has carried a “December Birthday” bug on People app. Users weren’t able to add add any day in December to a contact since the month wasn’t included in the app. However, the Google Calendar app remain unaffected. How do you forget an entire month, Google?

As promised earlier, Google has begun pushing out the Android 4.2.1 update for the Nexus 4, Nexus 10 devices. It is just a specific refresh weighing just 1.1MB of size to fix this December month missing issue. We’ve also heard this minor update is also carrying Bluetooth glitch fixes. The new build number is being referred as JOP40D. Nothing else changed. As you can see in the above screenshot, the Kernel still has the November 8th date seal. But, it seems Google hasn’t included any fix for the non-functionality of the USB OTG on Nexus 4 handset.

So, what are you waiting you for. Hit up the Settings –> Software Update apps to check for OTA update manually and enter dates that occur during the month of December, such as your friends’ birthdays, Christmas, New Years Eve and etc.
