With the release of the Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich update for the Sony Tablet S device, the manufacturer has also announced the Android 4.0 ICS update schedule for a handful of 2011 Xperia handsets. Sony has confirmed that the update is “progressing as planned” and will be distributed as planned.
The first set of Xperia handsets to get ICS update:

Sony also outlines which other phones have ICS incoming by the end of May or early June:

For any Sony Tablet S customers that haven’t downloaded the update yet – get going, make sure you have a proper Wi-Fi connection and follow the instructions provided here for the reference. Sony has also mentioned that if you purchase a Tablet S between now and May 12th will get a $50 discount and a free desktop cradle. That means you can get the 16GB variant of the Tablet S for $350 and 32GB.model for $450.
