[Download] Apple iOS 5 Beta 2 Now Available For Developers

Apple iOS 5

Apple has released the first follow-up of beta release to its new iOS 5 for developers to work on the Apple devices. Many iOS developers are already getting their hands-on the iOS 5 beta 2. The iOS 5 beta 2 supports the same hardware as before, running on iPhone 4 CDMA & GSM, iPad 2 Wi-Fi GSM & CDMA, iPad, iPhone 3GS, and iPod touch 3G & 4G. This version brings the ‘wireless syncing’ feature for Macs running with iTunes 10.5 beta 2. Notifications on the lockscreen will show up much bigger for a single alert, and shows in list view for multiple alerts. iMessage now works very faster with iOS beta 2.

Users must connect their devices to a power source while operating the wireless sync. The wireless syncing will be initiated automatically when the device is connected to power and on the same Wi-Fi network. Users can manually trigger a sync from iTunes or else you can head over to Settings –> General –> iTunes Sync. If you find any issues with apps, photos, video synced to your devices, you should move to Settings -> General -> Reset, –> tap Erase all Content and Settings –> Reconnect to iTunes –> Start syncing now.

Apple iOS developers now can download the iOS Beta 2 from Apple Developer Site. The paid iOS developers ($99/year) should sign in with their developer credentials to gain access to this 2nd beta version of iOS 5 to access the IPSW files. For non-iOS developers, iOS 5 will be released this fall.
