You can install iOS 5 beta 5 using over the air software update. In order to do so you must first erase all content and settings on your device by choosing Settings –> General –> Reset –> Erase All Content and Settings. Remember that, Apple does not recommend to back up your device before proceeding to download this new build. You can then update OTA on any device running iOS 5 beta 3 and newer by forcing Settings –> General –> Software Update.
Note that if you are performing a OTA software update from iOS 5 beta 5 to iOS 5 beta 6, you will have to re-sync your photos with iTunes or iCloud backup once you download the latest pre-release beta of iTunes 10.5.
The IPSW is available through the iOS Dev Center as an IPSW file labelled 9A5302b, and as an over-the-air (OTA) update. The new build is available as a 144MB over-the-air (OTA) update, and the update size sits at 786MB of size if you’re installing it directly from Apple Dev website. If you can’t pull the new build from any source, here we are providing direct download links of iOS beta 6, iTunes 10.1 beta 6 for all the iDevices mentioned above.

Note: We’ve also reported about the Sn0wbreeze 2.8b5 For iOS 5 Beta 5 Jailbreak, which will make the iDevices not be able to download the over-the-air (OTA) updates. The users who have installed the jailbreak on their iPad, iPhone, and iPod touch devices, they won’t be able to download the iOS 5 beta 6 OTA. They will need to do a fresh restore of stock iOS 5 beta 5 firmware on the required device so that they can receive iOS 5 beta 6 OTA.
Please also note that Apple requires that you have a developer account and a device registered on the site in order to download and install iOS 5 beta versions.
