An unofficial site reports that Apple’s entry price for its upcoming iPad is likely between the price range of fifth-generation iPod touch ($299) and the currently shipping WiFi-only 16GB iPad 2($399). Two higher capacities of the iPad Mini will be available in the Wi-Fi-only configuration, which will likely priced at $100 premiums over each other at a minimum of $429 and $529. The device will also be available in a version that connects to cellular networks and it will come at a $130 premium. Earlier this week, we saw a leaked screenshot coming from an inventory system used by European Asian cellular network operators and mobile handset vendors. The screenshot showed the most awaited Apple’s smaller iPad will be available in black and white variants at the same price. The devices will be available in 16 different configurations.
It is also further expected that in that event, Apple will be announcing a couple of other devices other than iPad Mini, which will include the new 13 inch Retina Display MacBook Pro and a new updated Mac Mini.
The iPad Mini will go up for pre-order possibly on Friday October 26 and its pricing may start at $329 in the US, although it is doubtful whether the information is true or not. The device will most likely become available in stores a week later, on November 2. Anyway, we will bring more updates on October 23 when Apple announces its iPad Mini.
