Google unveiled the new Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich OS and it has been getting so much buzz from everybody since its launch moment. Following the launch of Samsung Galaxy Nexus and Android Ice Cream Sandwich OS, many Android devices manufacturers are looking forward to upgrade their hardware with the new new version of the Android platform. We already reported that Asus is gearing up launch the new Transformer Prime on November 9th, which is the successor of the original Transformer tablet and Asus confirmed that it will be upgrading its existing hardware with Android Ice Cream Sandwich OS by the end of this year. But, Asus hasn’t provided any timeframe for the software update. Fuelling to these reports, via its official Twitter account, Asus has officially confirmed to everyone that the original Eee Pad Transformer tablet will be upgrading to Android Ice Cream Sandwich flavor. It is also being heard that the Asus Eee pad transformer tablet will be the first tablet to get new Google OS aka Android ICS update.
Asus’ next generation Transformer tablet will be called transformer Prime and will be a having the next-generation NVIDIA quad-core "Kal-El" Tegra 3 processor, 8.3mm thickness, a 10.1-inch touchscreen display, mini HDMI port and much more.
