If you’re in market for a Verizon branded Nokia Lumia phone with an affordable price tag, we’ve some good news for you. Verizon has dropped the price of the newly launched Nokia Lumia 822 to $49.99. Earlier, the carrier launched it on 15th of November for $99 with contract. Users are required to sign a two year contract with Verizon to grab the Nokia Lumia 822 for just $49.99. Upgraders will have to pay a $30 Upgrade Fee. The other Windows Phone 8 was launched by Verizon, HTC Windows Phone 8X is now available for $199.99 at carrier’s online stores and in retail stores.
For 49 bucks, you will get a 4.3 inch WVGA AMOLED display, an 8MP rear camera with Carl Zeiss lens and dual LED flash, 1.2MP front-facing camera, 1.5GHz dual-core processor, 1GB of RAM, and 16GB of internal memory (expandable via microSD card slot), Nokia Drive, Nokia City Lens, Nokia Drive+, Nokia Maps apps as well.
Verizon is expected to launch the Samsung ATIV Odyssey handset by the end of this year and it also rumored to offered for free on contract, but the carrier has yet to confirm its plans to carry the Samsung Windows Phone 8 devices.
