As expected hopefully, Dell has released it’s first Windows Phone 7 powered smartphone at Bangalore Fashion Week yesterday, Dell Venue Pro in India. Dell Venue Pro comes is available in India for a whopping price of Rs. 34,990 through Aircel networks.
Dell Venue Pro is portrait QWERTY slider smartphone featuring Gorilla Glass display with 4.1 inch AMOLED capacitive multi touch display, Qualcomm 1GHz processor with Adreno 200 GPU for graphics, 5 megapixel AF camera with LED Flash and 720p HD video recording, 3G (HSDPA + HSUPA), HSPA, Wi-Fi, 8GB memory and 512MB RAM. Unfortunately, there is no memory card slot like most Windows Phone 7 devices.
Dell Venue Pro also having Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n connectivity, Bluetooth 2.1+EDR, A-GPS, and microUSB support. Venue Pro comes preloaded with the ‘Dell Stage’ user interface that aims at facilitating a richer user experience. Dell Venue Pro also comes with Xbox LIVE, Windows Phone 7 Live Tiles keep priorities in focus, Bing for search, and Zune for music, video and a whole host of Windows Phone 7 services.

Dell Venue Pro is now available in India through Dell and Aircel outlets. Venue Pro users on the Aircel network will enjoy exclusive favours of Free 2 GB. In partnership will Dell, and benefits worth Rs.6,000, 1GB data per month for 1 year, 2190 minutes of talk time and 7300 SMS.
However, the handset is priced at Rs.34,990 ($796), which is a very heavy pricing option and its just $449 in USA. We expect some price drop in future, as more new devices hitting India and Nexus S also is scheduled to hit India in this month.
