Well..we’ve a good news for Disney fanatics. Disney Mobile(MVNO in Japan) has announced its upcoming launching details of first smartphone, powered by Android OS. We can say that the Disney smartphones are fully fledged devices(not a cartoonish looking handset) and will actually be Disney-rebranded Sharp Galapagos 003SH handsets with 3D screens, which was a fully functional quad-band GSM phone.
Yet-to-be named Disney Android phone will be running on Android 2.2 Froyo with 1GHz processor and pack with a 3.8 inch WVGA parallax 3D touchscreen display, 9.6 Megapixels camera with HD video recording. This phone will also comes with Disney themed wall papers, emoticons(of Mickey and Minnie), widgets, apps and also including a Disney email address(*@disney.ne.jp MMS) for the user. Design cases will also be included, from a choice out of six designs(one of the case below), on a first-come-first-serve basis.
Price & Availability
Disney Android Smartphone will be available in Japanese markets in February. Pricing details haven’t revealed yet. We hope we will get more info this month end.
