[Download] Android 4.1 Jelly Bean Update for HTC One S Now Available

We had reported earlier that HTC will be releasing Android Jelly bean updates for its One S smartphones which will include HTC Sense 4+. Even tough these were official promises, it was never fulfilled. But, better late than never, it seems the update has arrived for the international versions now.

HTC One S international variants i.e. WWE (World Wide English) Versions have started receiving the 4.1 Jelly Bean update in Europe. Moreover, HTC has also provided a direct download link to the firmware update for those who have not received the OTA update.

XDA Developer members have reported a series of CID Numbers that are eligible for he update:

The update is going to enhanced camera software, authentic audio experience, with increased performance and a better start up functionality. The version number is 3.16.401.8 and it will also include the HTC Sense 4+ as promised earlier. The Android 4.1, Jelly Bean, is the fastest and smoothest version of Android, improving the simplicity and beauty of Android 4.0, and introduces a new Google search experience on Android.
