Finally, SE has started pushing out the most-awaited Android 2.3.3 Gingerbread OS for its Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 handsets. It is really great news for Xperia X10 owners, as the upgrade process is going all the way from Android 2.1 Eclair, skipping straight over Android 2.2 Froyo flavors. In fact, the Gingerbread update for Xpera X10 was scheduled to roll out a couple of days ago, but SE has issued a clarification today, saying that the announcement was "premature" and delayed it. At the moment, Sony Ericsson is releasing this update for un-branded Xperia X10s with carrier branded handsets shortly following after.
Here We are including the changes that will be added along with Android 2.3.3 flavor:
# Facebook Inside Xperia – Integration with Android, facilitating the sharing of content.
# Users will be able to use the phone as a Wi-Fi hotspot.
# USB Tethering to share 3G data via the USB connector.
# Addition of Photo Widget – one click access to gallery app.
# App Tray Sorting.
# Music player with equalizer.
How To Download Android 2.3.3 Gingerbread Update
Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 users will be receiving the notification on their display panels at any time. Once you get the update notification, you’ll need to download the PC Companion software (hit the link) of 25MB size to install the major update. Connect the Xperia X10 handset to their computers and Install the software and follow the on-screen instruction to finish the upgrade process. That’s it. Your Xperia X10 will be filled with Gingerbread flavor of Android OS. Don’t forget to take the full backup of your device, otherwise you will lose the ability to restore the old backups, and the entire data will be wiped out, while the contacts and messages saved in the handset’s memory will be overwritten. Users will also lose Backup, Restore app and Mediascape apps
