Jus a moment ago, we published about an OTA update for the T-Mobile myTouch 4G Slide handset. Now, we’ve also learned that the carrier is seeding a new software update for its predecessor, the QWERTY-less T-Mobile myTouch 4G handset, bringing the new software version 2.32.531.1. The Over-The-Air (OTA) update is rolling out in two parts. T-Mobile has mentioned that the first part of the update is 2.19.531.1.
As mentioned on support page of the website, you can not manually download the software update 2.19.531.1. You need to wait till the carrier roll out the update for teh myTiuch devices running software version 1.14.531.1 or 1.17.531.2. The update is rolling out in waves, so all you need is just a little patience.
Once your handset successfully upgraded to 2.19.531.1 update, you can easily the pull the final software update 2.32.531.1 by heading over to Menu –> Settings –> About Phone –> HTC Software Update –> and tap Check Now button –> If you found any update availability –> Touch Install Now button and follow the on-screen instructions to download and install the update and wait till upgrade process finishes successfully and the software version should be shown as Android 2.3.4/v 2.32.531.1 on your HTC-made myTouch 4G handset. This update will continue pushing out through April 15th.
