Fujitsu has officially confirmed that it has started shipping its Windows OS powered Stylistic Q550 Slate PC now. The slate’s pricing starts at $729. Fujitsu Stylistic Q550 slate is aimed for business men, meeting military specifications against dust, vibration, temperature, and more. This slate might not attract the many customers and it couldn’t compete with the other Android and iOS tablets such as Motorola Xoom, Apple iPad 2, LG G Slate, HTC Flyer, BB PlayBook, and the upcoming Samsung Galaxy tab 10.1. Only Windows fanatics might go for this tablet to purchase.
Fujitsu Stylistic tablet comes pre-installed with Windows 7 Home Premium or Professional OS (which is not specifically designed for tablets) on a 10.1-inch IPS display with the resolution of 1366 x 768 pixels, 1.3 megapixel camera around the back side of the device and front facing VGA shooter camera for video chat, powered by an Intel Z670 Oak Trail processor clocked at 1.5GHz, boosted by 2GB RAM, and 30GB or 64GB SSDs, 1080p HD video decode, Digital fingerprint recognition, Bluetooth 3.0, Wi-Fi, Optional 3G/UMTS Gobi 3000, HDMI out, 4 USB ports, micro-SD card slot, a removable battery, Windows apps, a whole host of Windows services, and its battery gives up to 4 hours of continuous usage.
