Galaxy A23 gets its delightful One UI 5.1 update

The launch of the Galaxy S23 earlier this month also brought the latest One UI 5.1 update for the rest of Samsung’s top-tier Galaxy phones. We’ve seen One UI 5.1 hitting devices such as the Galaxy S22 series, Galaxy S21 series, Galaxy S20 series, Galaxy Z Flip 4, and Galaxy Z Fold 4. Later a bunch of the mid-range Galaxy phones Galaxy A73, Galaxy A33, Galaxy 53, and Galaxy M53 also joined the list.

The Galaxy A23 is the latest mid-range Galaxy phone to receive the One UI 5.1 love. Samsung has issued the A235FXXU2CWB4 update for the Galaxy A23, and it comes with February 2023 security patch. As of now, folks with Galaxy A23 in Ukraine and Russia are first in line for the update to start the week. The One UI 5.1 for Galaxy A23 is expected to roll out to European countries, US regions, and Asian countries very soon in the coming days.

The new update brings improvements to the Camera, Gallery, Wallpaper, Widgets, and multitasking. You will get smoother and faster animations, a new battery widget, a new weather widget, quicker access to Samsung’s Expert RAW mode, Samsung Notes collaborating, improved media output controls, DeX something-or-other, and more.

Users will be able to choose the selfie color tone in the camera app. The Gallery app lets you swipe up an image or video to view and edit its EXIF information. You can mask AR emojis on up to three faces in an image simultaneously using the AR Emoji app.

If the update hasn’t hit your device yet, you will have to tap into Settings > System update > Download and Install to grab it and be on the lookout for A235FXXU2CWB4.
