Just as promised, Samsung keeps rolling out the One UI 5.1 upgrade (Android 13) to its recent high-end Galaxy devices. It seems the Korean tech giant is spreading the same love to its mid-range Galaxy phones as well. Anyway, Samsung started rolling out the One UI 5.1 update for the Galaxy A33 5G, and Galaxy 53 5G phones, which were launched in last year. We already reported about the latest update rollout for the Galaxy S22 family, S21 family, S20 family, Galaxy Z Flip 4, and Galaxy Z Fold 4 phones.
Once updated to One UI 5.1 build, here are the build numbers you should see.
- Galaxy A33 5G: A336NKSU3CWB3
- Galaxy A53 5G: A536NKSU4CWB3
It’s currently available in South Korea only, and based on Samsung’s recent track record, other countries should have it in the next few days. The One UI 5.1 update is rolling for the Galaxy A33 5G, Galaxy A53 5G with the new firmware version A336NKSU3CWB3 and A536NKSU4CWB3, respectively.
The update comes with the usual One UI 5.1 goodies and bumps up the Android security patch level on both the A33 5G, and A53 5G phones duo to February 2023. One UI 5.1 gets you new widgets (includes an improved weather widget), Expert RAW mode, improvements to the gallery, connectivity, new functionality in a number of areas, including camera and gallery, multitasking, Samsung Internet, DeX mode and more. The stock Gallery app now enables improved search, allowing you to group filters and allowing you to click a person’s face to view more photos containing them.
