One UI 5.1 update available now for Galaxy S21 series

 

Samsung has been working hard on its Galaxy portfolio for getting upgraded with the latest version of its custom Android skin. Samsung’s One UI is arguably among the best Android skins on the market. While the Galaxy S23 devices haven’t even started shipping to all customers worldwide who already pre-ordered, Samsung has started rolling out the One UI 5.1 update to older high-end smartphones. After Galaxy S22 series, Galaxy Z Fold 4, Z Flip 4, now it’s the Galaxy S21 series of phones getting the new One UI 5.1 update.

The One UI 5.1 update is seeding out to the Galaxy S21, Galaxy S21+, and Galaxy S21 Ultra with firmware version G991BXXU6EWAF. The new build that’s rolling out is labeled G99xBXXU6EWAF, it arrives over-the-air as a 2.3GB download, and it brings with it the February 1, 2023 security patch level.

The update is currently available in select markets in European markets, specifically in Germany and Netherlands, and we can safely expect more regions to follow in the coming days. The One UI 5.1 update brings new widgets, Expert RAW mode, improvements to the gallery, connectivity, DeX mode, as well as enhancements to Camera and Gallery, AR Zone, AR Emoji. Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra One UI 5.1 Update Changelog

The One UI 5.1 update should be hitting the Galaxy S20 devices around the world in the coming days. Until then, if you live in Europe based countries and own any of the Galaxy S20 models, you may manually check for an update by going to Settings >> Software update >> Download and install.
