Did you think that the yakju Galaxy Nexus variant was the only one getting all of Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean credit? A couple of days back, Google rolled out the Android 4.1.2 update for the HSPA/GSM capable yakju variant of the Samsung Galaxy Nexuses (international model). Today, the search giant has begun pushing out the Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean update for the takju variant of the Samsung Galaxy Nexus handsets. ‘takju’ refers to those handsets that have been purchased in the Google Play Store. The build is same, JZO54K, as you see in the above image.
Please keep in mind the update is arriving for takju builds that are running already at JRO03C and the and it is specifically for the GSM Galaxy Nexus sold in the Google Play Store, and not the CDMA version available in the United States.
If you can’t wait for the OTA notification to hit your device, head over to Settings app section and pull it manually from there. You can also grab the full Android 4.1.2 ROM from the Google servers (link provided below). The update weighs 18.39MB of size.
