Samsung’s software support is such a major reason to purchase the latest Galaxy S23 flagship phones. To recall, Samsung now provides 4 major OS upgrades to their best phones and 5 full years of security patches. Those major OS upgrades include updates like to Android 17.

A couple of days ago, the Korean tech giant kicked off the open sales of the Galaxy S23 series worldwide. Whenever Samsung releases a new Galaxy flagship phone, a day 1 or close-to-day-1 update will be immediately available which takes care of a bunch of early bugs and often packs security improvements. Samsung is now rolling out the first software update for the Galaxy S23 phones.

The latest software update for the Galaxy S23, Galaxy S23+, and Galaxy S23 Ultra comes with firmware version S91xBXXU1AWBD. This update bumps up the security patch level with February 1, 2023. The update also brings 48 security improvements, a bunch of bug fixes, enhanced features, and some of the apps will be updated with latest version such as AR Zone, Clock, Galaxy Wearable, Samsung Notes and many more.

The latest update is over 567MB in size, and it is currently being rolled out in the European countries, and the rollout will spread to more countries in the coming days. The unlocked versions of the Galaxy S23 smartphones in the US will get also get updated very soon. If you own a Galaxy S23 or Galaxy S23+ or Galaxy S23 Ultra, head into Settings>Software update, and then tap “Download and install.”
